Soccer
Soccer has undergone something of a revolution in the USA. The national team's good showings in recent World Cup tournaments along with the recent transfer of David Beckham from Real Madrid to LA Galaxy, has seen a new wave of interest in the game that is gaining momentum. The teams are playing good football, the competition is fierce, and soccer is a game where the USA is no longer considered a soft touch. Make no mistake, football is finally big in the States!
There is now a growing need for US league clubs to source new, raw talent, whereas English football has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to willing and capable young players -- but of course only a few can go on to sign a contract with a Premiership, Championship or even League clubs.
The Global Scouting Bureau has the infrastructure and know-how to meet the needs of US clubs and fulfill the aspirations of young UK based footballers. GSB offers two services to UK based footballers.
College Soccer
When it comes to marrying sporting excellence and academic achievement, the United States quite rightly has an enviable reputation. A sound academic background is a worthwhile investment for any young man but particularly for a footballer where it offers a valuable safety net in case things don't quite work out. GSB has put together a unique College Soccer Trials package for the younger UK players with 'A' levels to their name alongside footballing talent. All players must first attend one of the GSB evaluation trials. Players that Make The Grade will be assisted by GSB in their search for a scholarship.
A detailed profile for each successful player is collated and made available to US colleges and universities, giving these institutions the chance to assess players with a view to offering a scholarship to those they believe have great potential.
Professional Soccer
The establishment of football Academies and Centres of Excellence at English Premiership, Championship and League clubs has proved to be a revelation. Homegrown talent now has the chance to flourish where previously the opportunity and infrastructure was not available. For every success story there are many disappointments. For every new young star to break through into professional football there will be many more who don't quite make it. Many may go on to lower league clubs but sadly some will drift out of the game altogether. This is a great shame as many of these youngsters will undoubtedly be very talented young footballers who have benefited from quality coaching. Global Scouting Bureau recognizes this. We also see the need for fresh soccer talent in the United States where the Academy infrastructure present in the UK is sorely missed. We have therefore put together a unique Pro Soccer Trials package that represents a fantastic opportunity for young players to kick-start their career across the Atlantic!
Evaluation Trials
The Global Scouting Bureau holds regular evaluation trials within the UK to seek out talented players who are looking for the opportunity to play in the USA. GSB's coaching team, headed by ex-Newcastle United, and England defender, and current Sky Sports pundit Warren Barton will evaluate each player through fitness tests, coaching sessions, and matches. Players that Make The Grade will be offered the chance to either try for a scholarship or professional contract in the USA.

Global Scouting Bureau hosts events both in the UK and US to showcase players that are seeking professional contracts. All players must first attend one of the GSB evaluation trials. Players that Make The Grade will be offered the opportunity to try out at a GSB pro event.
Each pro event will be attended by scouts and coaches from various leagues and teams looking to sign players. Players selected for US trials must have a valid UK passport and be available to travel within 90 days of the initial evaluation. There are further costs to players attending US pro trials for flights, accommodation, etc. Each US trip will last between 6 and 10 days depending on the location.
