Why should I attend a GSB soccer event?
GSB soccer events give players the opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities. The GSB coaching team will evaluate each player’s abilities during the event. The players the ‘Make The Grade’ will have a professional scouting report prepared, including video footage which is then made available to hundreds of college and professional teams in the United States. Successful players will also be invited to take part in a two-day summer showcase event which will be attended by college and professional team representatives.
Who can attend GSB soccer events?
Any player over the age of 15 can attend a GSB soccer trial. Each event caters for players seeking college scholarships and/or professional contracts.
What happens at GSB soccer events?
Players will take part in fitness work, training routines, and matches under the supervision of the GSB coaching team, headed by Warren Barton.
Do I need to bring my own equipment to GSB soccer events?
You need to bring your own kit and footwear. All we provide are numbered bibs which must be returned after the event.
When will I know if I’ve been successful at a GSB soccer event?
Once the matches are finished in the afternoon, the coaching team will talk to each player and discuss their performance. What happens if I ‘Make The Grade’ at a GSB soccer event?

Each player will need to provide their full playing history. Players seeking a college scholarship must also provide GCSE, A Level, and SAT results including certificates.

What if I don’t ‘Make The Grade’ at a GSB soccer event?
If you don’t get through, our coaching team will tell you why you haven’t been chosen. We always aim to give players the best advice and will always offer information that we feel may help you develop as a player. You can always improve your game and try out again at a future event.
